As we gather to celebrate the holiday this weekend, many of us will reflect on what we are thankful for. For those who struggle with substance use disorders and for their loved ones, it can be hard to find many things to be thankful for. Substance use disorders (more commonly known as addictions) are devastating illnesses to many Americans. At Aquila Recovery, our mission is to help those who suffer from addictions to achieve recovery and live a healthy life. While there is always more work to be done, it is good to reflect on what we are thankful for.
A Year of Heightened Awareness about Substance Use Disorders
Over the past year, there have been countless stories about the opioid epidemic that is destroying many of our communities. This visibility has helped increased awareness of the problem and encouraged many suffering from substance use disorders and their family members to reach out to an addiction treatment center for help.
The Continued Increase in Evidence-Based Therapies for Substance Use Disorders
Increased focus on addictions will only encourage more research and discoveries on methods to improve our treatment of substance use disorders. At Aquila Recovery, we are certainly thankful for the research that has yielded the advances in medications and therapies that we utilize every day.
Our Staff
We could not have the impact on the community that we have achieved without our amazing staff. The professionalism and dedication of our entire team drive the success that we see in our patients’ lives. We are truly thankful for their talents and service.
Our Clients
At Aquila Recovery, our greatest joy is to watch the transformation of our clients’ lives that occurs as they take back control from substances. The impact of their hard work and dedication to heal themselves from their substance use disorders has wide ranging impact on their families and communities.
On this Thanksgiving week, we give thanks for the opportunity to serve our community and have a positive impact on our world.
